What we need to produce your audio guide

At Nubart, we will advise you throughout the entire production process.
Our goal is to reduce your workload as much as possible.
To create your audio guide, we need the following materials:

1) Card Design

If you have opted for the digital-only variant, this is not required.

It can be one or more images. We will combine them with your logo to design the card.
We need them in JPG or PNG format and in high resolution.
Of course, we will ask for your approval before ordering the print.

The logo of your museum will appear in the design of the card, in the digital content and in the downloadable PDF with the credits.
We need it in PNG format and preferably with a transparent background.
Our alphanumeric codes are different on each card. We integrate them as an alternative to the QR codes because not all visitors are familiar with using QRs.
You can use the domain of your museum or our own nubart.eu (see picture):

It is important to make this decision soon, as the URL is part of the design of the card.
If you prefer to use your own website for branding reasons, you will receive an HTML code snippet that your webmaster can embed.
Typically, a sub-domain is created, such as in www.mymuseum.com/audioguide. This site needs to be responsive.
But it must also be short! Please keep in mind that the visitor will have to type it completely and without mistakes on the keyboard of his smartphone.
If the domain of your museum is very long, we recommend using a URL-shortener like bit.ly or acquiring a short domain and redirecting it.

2) Script of the audio guide

If you have purchased the Collection Package that includes the writing of the script, or if you have ordered the audioguide script from us separately, this is not required.

3) Materials for the digital setting of the audio guide

The pictures help the visitor to quickly identify the exhibits represented in the audio guide.
Actually, we only need pictures of the exhibits that have a soundtrack. If you wish, we can also add additional images as an illustration to enrich the audio guide. We need the pictures in JPG or PNG format and with a minimum width of 700 px.
Depending on the case, the pictures will appear as thumbnails or in large format.
Please let us know if the use of certain images in the audioguide has license restrictions so we can look for an alternative solution.
If you want to include one or more videos in the audio guide, you can send us the link to Vimeo or Youtube.
If this is a restricted video that should only be seen in the audioguide, we need the file in WMV, MOV or MP4.
We recommend restricting the videos to the minimum necessary so as not to distract the visitor from the exhibition.
If you wish, in your audio guide you can also offer the download of some digital documents, for example PDFs with additional information about your museum or exhibition.
Since these documents are usually downloaded to a mobile phone, they should not be very large.

4) Information

At the end of the audio guide, Nubart integrates a short feedback questionnaire to collect the voluntary opinions of your visitors.
Two of the questions are fixed and included by default: the rating of the show from 1 to 5 and the free comment field.
The remaining three questions can be adapted to your interests. You can choose from this list:
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Is this your first visit?
  • Country
  • Postal Code
  • Did the audio guide contribute to a better understanding of the exhibition?
  • What other topics could be addressed in the audio guide?
  • Would you recommend this audio guide?
  • Where did you buy this audio guide?
If none of these options suits your interests, let us know and we will try to include your proposal in this list.
Optionally we can send your visitors' comments in real time to the e-mail address you provided. It is a good way to be constantly informed about the response to your exhibition.
At the end of the audio guide, we will insert a downloadable PDF file with all the credits, including the names of the speakers and translators. Please provide us with the data we should add (e.g. copyright for images).
