What we need to produce your audio guide
This page serves as a reference throughout your production process. Not every section on this page applies to every project. Your production manager will guide you through the relevant parts.
Nubart's goal is to relieve your workload as much as possible. Simply upload the basics below to your Nubart customer area, under "Assets", and we'll take care of the rest! This includes formatting and converting audio, image or video files.

The cards
Once we have your order, we will contact you with our designer to conceive the design of the card. You can make suggestions and choose from several options.
Our designer will create 2–3 design proposals that you can iterate to your liking until you are satisfied.
If you’d prefer your in-house design team to handle the design, please let your production manager know: she will provide you with the necessary guidelines.
For the rear side of the card, we offer 8 standard layout templates — will help you choose between the available layouts.
Of course, we will ask for your approval before moving forward with the print.
Need inspiration? Browse our customer gallery to see cards we have designed for other museums and institutions.
Print considerations before approval:
- Dark colors: Dark backgrounds and saturated colors usually appear darker in print than on screen. If your design is very dark, please ask our designer for advice before approving.
- Check legibility at actual size: Review the PDF proof at 100% zoom to see the card at its real printed size, and make sure all text, logos and details remain legible.
- Exact brand colors (Pantone): Standard CMYK printing may not reproduce brand colors exactly. If precise color matching is important, please let us know in advance, as Pantone printing affects the cost.
- Matte vs. glossy finish: On PVC cards with dark colors, matte lamination usually gives more accurate colors and better scratch resistance than glossy.
- No print proofs: We do not offer physical print proofs. The approved PDF design and the sample cards you received before ordering serve as reference for the final result.
- Liability: Please review our Terms and Conditions regarding defects and liability for printed cards before giving your approval.
Please send it as SVG or as PNG with transparent background.
We always recommend using our nub.art domain. If you prefer it for branding reasons, you can also print the URL of a subpage with your domain and redirect it to nub.art. To do this, ask your webmaster to create a subpage, e.g. www.mydomain.com/guide and to redirect it to nub.art.
If your domain is very long, we recommend that you buy a short domain and then redirect it. We can help you with this. Keep in mind that your visitor will have to type this URL in full on the small keyboard of a smartphone. To ensure a reasonable usability, we do not accept subpages longer than 20 characters.
Please make sure that the URL of this subpage is created permanently and that the redirect remains active. We are not responsible for any cards that become inoperable due to an incorrectly redirected or inactive subpage.
The content
You will receive an invitation to register in your customer area. There you can upload the content that you want us to integrate into your audio guide. We will also assign you a project manager with whom you can clarify all your questions.
We only need pictures of the audio guided exhibits. Please send us the pictures as JPG or PNG and with a minimum width of 700 px, that's all! We will take care of cropping, resizing and adapting them for your audio guide.
You can decide if you prefer the pictures as thumbnails, in large format or as an image slider (up to 15 images).
Please let us know if an image has license restrictions so that we can look for an alternative solution. If you wish, for an additional fee we can take care of managing the rights of your images.
We use a light-weight equirectangular format (one single image-file). To ensure support among all devices, the image size should be max. 4096 px wide.
Keep in mind: our total offline mode is not compatible with videos!
